Rare Books at the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetic
Amsterdam gives us many opportunities for enrichment, but the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica is a esoteric treasure house! The founder, Joost R. Ritman, has opened his priceless collection to the public to enlarge education in western esotericism. No doubt many students at the University of Amsterdam have benefited from its close proximity, especially those enrolled at the History of Hermetic Philosophy department, chaired by Wouter Hanegraaff. A trip there in 2008 yeilded valuable research in alchemical emblemata.
